UV LEDs

Crystal IS Inc. is developing ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs) for germicidal disinfection.  Based at 265nm, our LEDs target the peak in the germicidal action spectrum for the most effective disinfection.  With our unique "AlN" technology, we offer a path to high power, long life and cost effictive LEDs.

Our LEDs will enable new techniques for UV disinfection and extend this technology into consumer applications.

Crystal IS Inc. is lighting the way to a cleaner safer environment, where consumers will demand the disinfecting power of UV in everything including the kitchen sink.

Aluminum Nitride Substrates

Our LEDs are based on our low defect aluminum nitride (AlN) substrates.
